Journey of Winners Academy

Winners Academy began its journey in 2008 in Bengaluru as a small Abacus learning centre with a big dream. Founded by Sumana Bhat, a passionate Math and Science teacher, the academy was born out of a simple yet powerful belief — children should love mathematics, not fear it. What started as after-school Abacus classes was Sumana’s heartfelt effort to change how young minds experienced learning, making math joyful, engaging, and confidence-building.

As word spread and parents began seeing remarkable changes in their children’s focus, confidence, and attitude towards learning, Winners Academy grew steadily. By 2018, the academy had expanded to 15+ centres across Bengaluru, offering Abacus, Vedic Math, and Calligraphy classes, supported by a dedicated team of 10 expert tutors who shared the same passion for child-centric education.

When the COVID-19 pandemic forced physical centres to close, the journey took an unexpected yet transformative turn. Determined to continue doing what she loved, Sumana Bhat transitioned Winners Academy to online learning. What began as a necessity soon became an opportunity - the classes resonated deeply with parents, and through word of mouth alone, families from outside India began enrolling their children. By the time the world reopened, Winners Academy had evolved into a global learning community, conducting live online classes across 12+ countries and multiple time zones.

Today, Winners Academy proudly stands as a trusted Indian education brand, empowering children around the world to think faster, focus better, and fall in love with learning - staying true to the mission it started with, one child at a time.
